America’s National Day of Prayer, Fasting and Repentance

November 3, 2024

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. — 2 Chronicles 7:14

Join us in praying for our Nation!

The Founders of the United States of America recognized that human rights are natural rights given by God. This recognition of God-given rights came from Judeo-Christian values, and places God as Sovereign over America. The Founders designed our system of self-governance by drafting a Constitution and Bill of Rights with limited powers for the government, preserving certain inalienable rights for the people.

In the midst of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln recognized the need to call upon Almighty God as the supreme authority over our Nation to humble ourselves before Him and seek healing for America. On March 30, 1863, President Lincoln issued Proclamation 97, Appointing a Day of National Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer.

Proclamation 97 reads as if it were written today, reflecting a divided nation facing similar tribulation, conflict, and separation from God, stating in part:

In 1798, President John Adams issued a similar proclamation. — Click here to read!

Our country is in crisis. Now is the moment to boldly point our Nation toward God, declare his sovereignty, and humble ourselves before Him.  Join us as we seek, through His divine intercession, to break the strongholds that bind our country and restoration and healing that only He can provide.
