Prayer Guide
The Sacred Privilege of Prayer
Prayer opens the door to direct communion with the Creator of the universe. Through prayer, we draw near to God’s heart, deepen our relationship with Him, and discover the joy of His presence. In prayer, we worship, give thanks, confess, grieve, celebrate, and bring our deepest needs—both personal and corporate—before the throne of grace. Nothing is too small, too large, or too complicated to bring to Him.
The A.C.T.S. Framework
A helpful way to structure your prayer time is through the A.C.T.S. model:
Acclaim (Worship & Praise)
Worship is a powerful spiritual weapon that pierces darkness and ushers in God’s light.
“This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.” — 1 John 1:5
Praising God in every circumstance—whether joyful or difficult—declares His sovereignty over all things.
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” — Psalm 100:4
Confess (Repentance)
True repentance acknowledges our absolute need for God. It’s the humble recognition that we cannot save ourselves and the surrender of our will to His.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9
Confession requires honest acknowledgment of our sins so we can truly separate from them.
“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires…” — Colossians 3:5
“Everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.” — Acts 10:43
Thank (Gratitude)
Thanksgiving demonstrates our dependence on and trust in God’s goodness, even when circumstances are difficult.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” — Romans 5:3-5
Supplication (Petition & Intercession)
Bring everything that weighs on your heart to God—He invites your complete honesty.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6-7
We never need to hide our true thoughts and feelings from God—He already knows them.
“For the word of God is alive and active… it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” — Hebrews 4:12
Focused Prayers for America
For Divine Protection
“I pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people (for not everyone has faith). But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3
Pray for God’s protective hand over America and its people—from threats both foreign and domestic, visible and invisible.
For God’s Mighty Rescue
“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from Me,’ declares the Lord.” — Isaiah 54:17
Ask God to move powerfully to deliver and rescue our nation.
For Breaking Spiritual Strongholds
“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” — Ephesians 6:12
Pray for the breaking of every spiritual stronghold that binds America, its government, and its people. Ask God to make a way where there seems to be no way.
For Exposure and Justice
“He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in Him.” — Colossians 2:15
Pray that God would expose, thwart, and bring to justice those who oppose His purposes and seek to undermine the freedoms He has given us.
For Revival and Healing
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” — James 5:16
Intercede for a powerful spiritual awakening and healing across America—for hearts to turn back to God in genuine repentance.

Going Forward: After Repentance Day
Continue in Prayer
Don’t let your prayer life end when Repentance Day concludes. Cultivate ongoing communion with God through persistent, faithful prayer.
Put On the Full Armor of God
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” — Ephesians 6:10-18
Maintain Faith That Moves Mountains
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20
Believe that your prayers matter. God hears. God moves. God answers.
